Problem with style.css not writing to css folder after --watch command

Ive re-done the last three videos a few times to make sure that I have been doing everything write and it appears that I am. Whenever I get to the sass --watch scss:css command in the terminal it doesn't auto-populate the css folder just tells me to push command c to stop watching. example

I am in the right directory and have everything updated correctly too. I have also made a new scss folder with style.css renamed to style.scss in it with the old css folder left empty. Also I have noticed in the video that gills sublime text says that he is in style.scss but when I open up the style.scss file in sublime text it tells me that I am in style.scss.css (not sure if that is relevant).

If anyone could let me know what I could be doing wrong or why "write css/style.css and write css/style.css.map" are not showing up in my terminal or why my css folder is still empty after I use the --watch command let me know.

Please post your pwd where you execute the command and the exact watch command you use.

Are you watching the right directory? For instance, in one of my personal projects, I needed Sass to watch the /scss/ folder but write to my root project folder. So I had to type the command like this:

sass --watch scss/style.scss:style.css

This told it to watch the scss folder for that file, but write style.css to my root project folder. Is that anything like what you may be running into?

i am having the same problem i have made sure my files was saved as scss i run sass --watch scss:css it telling me C:\Users\mmayat\Desktop\code\codingTwo\cssResourse>sass --watch scss:css

Sass is watching for changes. Press Ctrl-C to stop. when i press ctrl-c files are not created

Hi, everyone. I was having the same issue and it took me hours to solve it. Then I tried Sublime editor and googled again. I found this https://github.com/jaumefontal/SASS-Build-SublimeText2 and the problem is solved now. Hope this helps.
