problems with timestrings.py

i know i need to use strp to return datetime, i just dont know what to return the function with

timestrings.py 
## Examples
# to_string(datetime_object) => "24 September 2012"
# from_string("09/24/12 18:30", "%m/%d/%y %H:%M") => datetime
import datetime

def to_string(dat):
    #now = datetime.datetime.now()
    return dat.strftime('%d %B %Y')


def from_string(dt, strin):

    return datetime.datetime.strp('2015-04-16', '%d %B %Y')

    #strin = '%d %B %Y'
    return datetime.datetime.strp('2015-04-16', '%d %B %Y')   #in here datetime.datetime.strptime will be alright
     # and you should replace '2015-04-16', '%d %B %Y' as your arguments
