21,526 Pointssetters code challenge - able to set price in workspace, but not in code challenge
This code works when I copy it into workspaces and set different prices. It correctly updates self.price and self._price, but the code challenge isn't passing. Any hints? Code challenge says "@price isn't set correctly".
class Product:
_price = 0.0
tax_rate = 0.12
def __init__(self, base_price):
self._price = base_price
@property
def price(self):
return self._price + (self._price * self.tax_rate)
@price.setter
def price(self, base_price):
self._price = base_price + (base_price * self.tax_rate)

I still don't understand how setters work. I will need to read more about them. Any insight is welcome.
