So if I complete a track will I get a certificate?

So if I complete a track will I get a certificate? for example I am working on Front End Dev. Will I get a certificate from treehouse saying I did all the work and earn it.

No you wont. Certificates don't really hold a lot of weight when applying for jobs anyway. The knowledge you learn along the way is what matters.

Then how can you prove to an employer you learned what you said you did?

There are plenty of ways. They could ask you technical questions, ask you to complete a small task/project for them, they might view your portfolio of personal project you've built. In the grand scheme of things certificates mean nothing. Employers want to see real code that you've written and real working applications.

ah i see, well thanks for the information.

I also think it would be helpful to show that you went through an entire track. It would be nice to show something BEFORE an interview.

I think it would cost treehouse nothing to create digital record that I could have of what I have studied in the track let alone for job purposes. I hope TeamTreehouse reconsiders applying this to their tracks as it is a lot of time and hard work to get through the tracks so some form of documentation would be nice. PS: Thanks treehouse for being here you have helped me loads at what I would consider a reasonable cost, Thanks.
