Please give insight on how to get the angle brackets around email address?
"In the library database there's a patrons table listing all the users of the library. The columns are id, first_name, last_name, address, email, library_id and zip_code. Generate a list of strings that are in the following format: Andrew Chalkley andrew@teamtreehouse.com. Concatenate the first name, last name and email address for all users. Alias it to to_field. This will be used in the "To" field in email marketing."
Type in your command below.
"Bummer! You're missing the angle brackets around the email address."

Treehouse Moderator 91,253 PointsYou can use concatenation to wrap strings of the angle brackets around the retrieved email field. The concatentation operator is ||.
So in your answer try " <" || email || "> " so you get the strings and the email returned in your answer.

10,986 PointsHi Jonathan,
I am currently working on the same exercise and by using the concatenation operator you mentioned above I get the data requested in the instructions, however I still get an error, I am running the following:
SELECT first_name || " " || last_name || " " || " <" || email || "> " AS to_field FROM patrons;
And I get the below error:
Bummer! Your query needs didn't retrieve the emails in the correct format.
But they did in the data printed on the screen, I don't understand...
