Stage 3, Task 2 - What's wrong with my code?

// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console. String firstExample = "hello"; String secondExample = "hello"; String thirdExample = "HELLO"; if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase("HELLO")) { console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case."); }

This is the code I have tried to use to pass the task. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong here? I'm stumped!

Equality.java
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase("HELLO")) {
  console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case.");
}

Hi Antonella Solomon,

I think this exercise wants you to use a variable and not the literal "HELLO". So what you should try to do, is to exchange the string "HELLO" in the .equalsIgnoreCase() method with the variable which holds this string.
