CSS CSS Basics (2014) Enhancing the Design With CSS Text Shadows and Box Shadows

Step 4 of Challenge only accepted if it's all on one line?

I tried to put Step Four of the code on a separate line, just as we did with the 3d Text example ... but it was only accepted if it was on a single line. There were no other changes to the code between accepted and rejected --- just a line break with a couple spaces; even the comma was there in both cases.

I thought you could spread out rules over several lines with no consequences, that it was the ; that designated the end of the rule rather than a hard return. Am I missing something?

Thanks Guil Hernandez !

There seems to be in interpreter issue on Treehouse's part. You can spread it out over several lines :)

Hi Stephanie,

You can under normal coding separate the code on different lines, but it appears that for some reason the code challenge won't except it that way.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

There was a small bug in the code challenge that prevented it from accepting the answer when on separate lines. This has been fixed. :)
