Sorry I got screwed up somewhere. This just passed.

class Inventory:
    def __init__(self):
        self.slots = []

    def add_item(self, item):
        self.slots.append(item)

class SortedInventory(Inventory):
    def add_item(self, item):
        super().add_item(item)
        self.slots.sort()

why use " self.slots.sort()" instead of this "self.slots.append(item)"

You code looks good, but the last line is added an item you already added in the previous line. You need to sort the list.

class SortedInventory(Inventory):
    def __init__(self, item):
        super().add_item(item)
        self.slots.sort()
