I'm having a hard time understanding the proper syntax needed to override parent class methods with super(). Can someone help me understand how the code attached does not accurately override the add_item method from the Inventory class?
This is a code challenge that I am not passing, and per documentation on python.org as well as some answered questions below the super() video in the course, this syntax should be correct, but I am clearly wrong :)
class Inventory:
def __init__(self):
self.slots = []
def add_item(self, item):
self.slots.append(item)
class SortedInventory(Inventory):
def add_item(self, item):
super().add_item()

13,251 PointsHi ! you were very close to the answer !! All you need to do is to add "item" to your line (: like this:
class SortedInventory(Inventory):
def add_item(self, item):
super().add_item(item) # added
have a good day (:
