Text editor on a challenge not recognizing my element. Was instructed to make the list items a link.

See my code below. What am I missing? I'm seeing an error message for the second list item "pies.html"

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lists and Links</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <ul>
      <li><a href="cakes.html">Cakes</li>
      <li><a href="pies.html">Pies</li>
      <li><a href="candy.html">Candy</li>
    </ul>

  </body>
</html>

Hey Deanna,

You're on the right track. One thing to remember is when you get an error for a specific line, often it is the line prior that has the problem. Here, it's actually something missing on all 3 lines of the links... ==> You haven't closed the <a> tags (missing the </a> before the closing </li> for all three.

Once those are added, you're good to go. :)

Keep coding! :dizzy:
