The C:\ check requires C:\\ in order to work

It says it didn't get the right return but in my check if I include the double "\" it works else I get an error

absolute.py 
import os

def absolute(path, root):
    if os.path.isabs(path):
        return path
    else:
        return os.path.join(root, path)

The backslash has a special meaning as an "escape" character, so using two together cancels that out and leaves just one actual "\" in the string.
