The last few days I have been getting the "Workspace connection lost" notification. Anyone else having this issue?

It's making it hard to work/save my projects and breaks the rhythm of my studying. Just curious if anyone else is having the same problem or has a fix for it. Thanks in advance!

Hi Devin Yes, the same happened with me. There isn't really a way to fix it because I think it has to do with the Treehouse software. Hope this helps!

It doesn't happen with me too often. When it does, reload your browser. If that doesn't work, check if you possible lost internet access. Since Workspaces runs in the browser, a solid internet connection is important.

This happens to me EVERY time I'm on treehouse using workspace. It's very frustrating, I've had to re-type many times due to this issue. It seems to happen on a set time too, if that makes sense. For me it's very consistent and often. Happens every so many minutes. Usually happens more than once per video.

Brian, the best I've been able to do is download Atom text editor and write my code in there and then upload to my workspace. I figured since we were told that Atom is a good editor to use it would help me to better familiarize myself with it.

I still lose connection to the videos as well, but that doesn't happen as often AND isn't nearly as frustrating.

Thanks Devin, I will do that too. I already have atom, just don't use it much. Makes sense to use it, especially when workspace is buggy. My videos haven't lost connection yet. Doesn't seem like that will be an issue for me. Thanks again Devin.

No problem. Hope that alleviates some of your frustration.

Ugh, this happens to me all the time! Most of the time I use either notepad++ or idle but sometimes I head back to workspaces only to have this happen repeatedly!

Yes, constantly. Workspaces has been very unstable. I have gotten into the habit of saving after every line of code. I sent an email about it but haven't heard anything.

Update... literally If any of you are Mac users too, this may help. I updated to 10.13.1 High Sierra and so far work space is working as it should. Also I use safari. I have been on treehouse for several hours now using workspace and it hasn't made me go crazy yet. So that's good. Maybe this can help some of you out there too... hopefully. I will post update if this changes.

FYI, PC with Chrome

I would have to agree to use text editor like Atom to back-up your work or in the alternative, save in wordperfect or something similar.

Vanessa, same here. I was told if I was using explorer to try chrome...but I was already. I did all the troubleshooting I could think of before asking for help and all the suggestions were things I had already tried myself. Seems to be worse later in the day/evening. There's also a chance it's the security settings I have on my browser but since it does work I assume that isn't the case. In any case the further I get in the classes the more I understand and the less frustrating it becomes, (or I've just gotten used to it). When it was happening all the time in the beginning it drove me nuts.

I am having this issue on my workstation at my employer so can't do much about the browser choice. Have used EDGE at home and here at work. The problem started at work. I tried clearing history and using IE but still have the problem. I use LinqPad to do some of the work and of course that is a good solution. I'll try the support section for possible answers.
