Android Build a Simple Android App with Java Improving Our Code Creating a New Class

There stands "add a field variable named title and make it public" soo I added public String title; yet, not working.

I created the class called PictureBook and got the request to add a field variable named title and make it public. Soo I added "public String title;" yet it does not work? Help?

Hi Krystal

You're on the right track, but there are a couple of things going on here.

First, Classes don't take any parameters, so they don't have parenthesis in part of the declaration. The fact that the first task (creating the class) passed with the parenthesis probably caused some confusion. Tagging Ben Deitch to have a look.
Second, you are missing the closing curly brace for the Class.

Also, although it won't affect compilation, be aware of the conventions for Java Syntax. The member variable should be indented inside of the class.

Have a look at the corrected code... I hope it helps to clear it up. :)
