Thoughts on pure node.js no frameworks or npm.

So came across this video. https://youtu.be/H9fg7GFagF4 What are your thoughts on this video. Randomly came across it on YT. I believe that a basic understanding of node and understand routes,servers etc. You should know that much or the basic concepts. And then even if you use express for making websites..it saves time. And there are other frameworks too for different purposes. And using popular frameworks help working on a team rather than working with a module you personally created. So is my point of view correct on this?
