Using Functions in Python

I'm stuck on this exercise and believe I'm way off target. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

create_a_function.py 
def is_odd(odd_value):
    return true if value % 2 == 0

I'm not sure if this will work, have you tried making the parameter and the conditional of the if statement the same thing. Right now it looks like the parameter is "odd_value" while the conditional be tested is "value." I'm not sure if odd_value's number will be passed to "value."

def is_odd(value):
  if value % 2 == 0:
     return true
