Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java IO

Using the console's printf method, display a message that says, "First name: ", followed by the first name that the user

I am having challenges to navigate through. Please help!

// I have imported java.io.Console for you.  It is a variable called console.
String firstName= console.readLine("The camel-cased version of firstName");
String lastName= console.readLine("Camel-cased version of lastName");
console.printf("First name, %s");

Hi Tendai,

You're pretty much there. In your formatted string output:

console.printf("First name, %s");

... the %s marker is the place where the value of a variable is entered (interpolated) into the string. But you do need to tell it which variable, like this:

console.printf("First name, %s", firstName);

Make sense? Add a comma and stipulate the variable and its value will be inserted into the output string.
