I'm not sure what your question is but there is a value of "100%" that you could try.

Hi there, you are looking for the css property box-sizing.

box-sizing: border-box;

For example if you wanted an element to be 200px high, it had a border of 5px and padding on the top and bottom of 20px, the total height by default of that element would render in the browser at 250px.

So to set the height to 200px, you would need to set the height to 200px - 20px(top padding) -20px(bottom padding) -5px(top border) -5px(bottom border) = 150px.

To avoid having to this, you can use the border-box, box-sizing property. This enables you to set a width and/or height on an element without having to account for border, margin and padding values that are set on the element. With this enabled you could set the height to 200px and it would render in the browser at 200px high.
