6,136 PointsWay to update naive time zone?
Hi there. I was wondering if there is a way to update a naive time zone. The question asks us to make a time zone "pacific" and then make the naive time in the pacific time zone. Is there any better way than to just copy the values? As in is there a way to inject the tzinfo into the naive time zone? Here's what I did, but copying the variables didn't feel right. Thanks!
import datetime
naive = datetime.datetime(2015, 10, 21, 4, 29)
pacific = datetime.timezone(datetime.timedelta(hours = -8))
hill_valley = datetime.datetime(2015, 10, 21, 4, 29, tzinfo = pacific)

6,136 PointsI figured it out based on the prompt in the second part of the coding challenge. You use datetime.replace() So the following code was how I found my solution:
import datetime
naive = datetime.datetime(2015, 10, 21, 4, 29)
pacific = datetime.timezone(datetime.timedelta(hours = -8))
#hill_valley = datetime.datetime(2015, 10, 21, 4, 29, tzinfo = pacific)
hill_valley = naive.replace(tzinfo = pacific)
