9,780 PointsWe use this conditional check everytime??
So that means, in all files that I import, I should always add this conditional check for ALL the code except the code that is not in a function or class definition??
I mean you always want to call imported functions and access imported classes individually when you need them in your main.py or not?? This gets me really confused.

Treehouse Moderator 68,441 PointsYou will want to use the conditional check
if __name__ == “__main__”:
to isolate code that you wish to run only if this module is the topmost module executed. Code protected by this conditional will not run if the module is imported into another module.
Many library modules do not have this conditional check since they’re never intended to be run directly as the topmost module.
