19,141 PointsHi there,
Self-contained usually means that it can stand on its own, regardless of the content around it. Since it's asking you to wrap the <h3> and <p> tags indicating a title and body, it's looking for the <article> tag. <article> is usually used for things like blog posts or news articles, which are things that could be placed anywhere and still make sense, because they contain their own heading, text, and maybe pictures - they're self-contained.
Hope this helps!

28,690 PointsSelf contained pieces of content is content that is grouped by it's direct relationship to each other. In the example of this Challenge it is grouping a title and paragraph. They are related to each other so we want to surround them with a cover, to use an analogy, like a book. This analogy is for the coder, not the reader of the content as the "cover" or wrapper is generally only visible in the HTML markup and not necessarily visual to the reader or user. In this sense it can also be thought of as a way of organizing content items.
There is a hint here as to which tag to use to group the h3
and p
tags together in the last word of the h2
tag just before main
.
