Marius, good start, but the variable needs to be outside the printf String:

String firstName = "Mike";
console.printf("%s can code in Java", firstName);

The %s is a placeholder that will be replaced by the value of the variable.

When you assign the variable it should not be within quotes as it not a string. Rather you should include a comma after the close of the quotes and then type the variable. This is the syntax that should be followed.
