I really didn't get much learnt through this first part of the corse. Half the stuff I don't understand. Should I go back and rewatch all the videos?

Treehouse TeacherHi, Mischa Potter! Reviewing is absolutely part of the learning process. I would definitely recommend it. I'm going to suggest something else, too. Try not coding along the first time you watch the video. Crank up the speed if you choose. Instead of trying to type and keep up with what the instructor is doing, try and wrap your mind around the point they are trying to make.
In my experience, coding along is best done after hearing what they have to say at least once prior to coding. I feel like sometimes the point is lost when we are scurrying to correct an incorrect parenthesis or some other minor error. First, see if you can understand the point. Then when you go to code along, you can almost predict what they're going to type because now you know why they're going to type it
Hope this helps!

47,876 PointsThat's a great tip, Jennifer. That's why I always had a hard time in classes where I felt I just had to take notes. Little or no absorption of the material while concentrating on writing, then getting lost (and worse - no replaying!). Thanks.

456 PointsWow, what fantastic advice. I had been thinking about doing this, and now that I am at the end of this lesson I feel like I will go back and do it again at least twice more. Once watching and once working along
