What is expected of me here if not this?

I feel that I've done what they asked of me I tried several different variations on this but they all say 'everyone needs their own array' when I try to name the arrays within $contacts after them, or just 'bummer! try again!'. Because of how the question is worded I don't understand what is expected of me if not this...

index.php
<?php
//edit this array
$contacts[] = [
  'name' => 'Alena Holligan',
  'email' => 'alena.holligan@teamtreehouse.com'
  ];
$contacts[] = [
  'name' => 'Dave McFarland',
  'email' => 'dave.mcfarland@teamtreehouse.com'
  ];
$contacts[] = [
  'name' => 'Treasure Porth',
  'email' => 'treasure.porth@teamtreehouse.com'
  ];
$contacts[] = [
  'name' => 'Andrew Chalkley',
  'email' => 'andrew.chalkley@teamtreehouse.com'
  ];

echo "<ul>\n";
//$contacts[0] will return 'Alena Holligan' in our simple array of names.
echo "<li>Alena Holligan : alena.holligan@teamtreehouse.com</li>\n";
echo "<li>Dave McFarland : dave.mcfarland@teamtreehouse.com</li>\n";
echo "<li>Treasure Porth : treasure.porth@teamtreehouse.com</li>\n";
echo "<li>Andrew Chalkley : andrew.chalkley@teamtreehouse.com</li>\n";
echo "</ul>\n";
?>

Hi larsvasdias ,

I'm not sure which task you're on.

What you have for the $contacts array is correct and it passes task 1 and 2 for me.

You can't pass task 1 if the email is there. Task 1 only wants the name key in the inner array. So comment out your email lines and you should pass task 1. Then un-comment the email lines to pass task 2.

ah, that explains it, I did all of that on task 1 not realising that the emails only should be added later. Thanks for the response!
