What is the point of learning web development?

If there are wordpress, Wix, Weebly, and things that make website easy to make (No coding, or even no experience at all) you could create an amazing websites. Then, what is the point of making website using HTML, CSS, Javascript and such? Is that mean Web development is dead career? I am just really curious. Thanks

I never heard of Wix or SquareSpace, but I'm 99.9999999999999999% sure that JavaScript is a million times more powerful.

Never heard of a person that is called an expert that only knows Wix :laughing:

Maybe SquareSpace & Wix are cool/useful for a very small project, but for huge websites like Google's search engine or Gmail or Facebook, it is almost impossible to just use a simple thing like Wix or SquareSpace.

JavaScript is a very powerful language that can do almost do anything on the web including 3D games, control Google Maps, and even on the back-end for example an entire new programming language or even a standard application in your Application menu.

I'm just sayin' here: JavaScript is almost guaranteed to be much better and if you know JS you would have a much >=-better background.

I'm just saying that JS is almost guaranteed to be much more powerful. You will feel the power flowing through your veins once you start learning :boom:

I'm also pretty sure that Wix won't be able to make a real amazing website like Gmail or Facebook but with programming you can do that much easier than Wix.

Please stop asking stupid questions like these (no offense, even if I come off as a bit rough, I understand you may be new to programming and questions like these are just impossible to not ask).
