What is the workflow like for a transaction? (Modifying Database with SQL)

When you write scripts for other languages, you don't have to do anything while it is executing. You don't need to be there.

It seems like with SQL you have to start the transaction, wait for a result, proof it, and when you are satisfied, then commit. Is this the right work flow?

:point_right: SQL can also be executed unattended.

Most databases support "stored procedures", where statements can be grouped and executed without someone monitoring the individual results.

On the other hand, other languages often have REPL's where you can monitor individual statement execution if you want. So the two work flows you are speaking of generally both exist in some form in any language.

I have googled REPLs. Search results in EPLs but not REPLs. Where can I find more information?
