what is wrong?

Can't figure out what is wrong. Is there a possibility to see the tests?

I switched the two statements and it worked.

Hi

if($username && $role!="admin"){

you probably mean

if($username == something && $role!="admin"){ ..........

Hi Mark, the question was the following: Without changing the variables, create a SINGLE conditional statement around the echo command that checks: That a $username is set. The users $role is NOT admin

So i just want to test if the username is set, i also tried $username == true , but this didn't work out either. The error message is:
Bummer! Use the negation operator to check that $role is NOT EQUAL to "admin".
