What is wrong with my code?

The same code works in my own text editor.

first_class.py
class Student:
    name = "Khaleel"

me = Student
print(me.name)

well, your class needs parentheses like that me = Student()
Using the parentheses (calling the class) tells Python that you want to create an instance and not just copy the class
