SELECT movies.title ,genres.name from movies INNER JOIN genres;

This is the format you should be using

 SELECT column_name(s)
 FROM table1
 INNER JOIN table2
 ON table1.column_name=table2.column_name;

So you are missing out the "ON table1.column_name=table2.column_name;" part.
