When I get tasks like this does it mean that I m expected to do all the declarations and work with a console too?

Hi Johan,

you don´t need to declare a new console object. It is already done for us.

So you will NOT need a statement like this:

Console console = System.console();

And I see a type in your code :)

String  firstname = "Johan";
// String is uppercased
// no dot before firstName
