When should I stop doing course work and go work on projects on my own?

Hello Everyone!

I am working through the frontend development track incongruent with an associates degree in web dev to keep the wheels turning. While I am working on teamtreehouse, will they tell me to stop doing work and go create projects? When should I stop on my own and create projects? Or are the challenges their way of making do projects?

Never stop. Course work and creating projects are not mutually exclusive and are complementary to each other.

Challenges are just mini-projects to help reinforce individual concepts along the way. It is up to you to put the concepts together into a useful project.

Just my thoughts
