why are we using console.printf?

public static void main(String[]args){ String firstName ="John" System.out.println("Your Name:"+firstName); } is it wrong if i right like this?

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
String firstName = "taha";
console.printf(<YOUR NAME>);

The comment that you have in the code "I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console" means that you already have java.io.Console, i.e. you have:

import java.io.Console;

public static void main(String[]args) {
   Console console = System.console();
}

That means that you can use 'console' object to print your name:

String firstName = "taha";
console.printf("%s", firstName);

Hi Taha,

You have to use quotes around <YOUR NAME> so that the compiler knows that it's a string.

Also, there was specific requirements on what should be printed.

This is the string it wants you to print "<YOUR NAME> can code in Java!"
