Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

Why can't I use the System.out.println command?

I want to use System.out.println , but it makes an error

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
public class first{
  public static void main(String[] args){
    String name="piril";
    System.out.println("My name is %s",name);
  }
}

Hi

Because you are using %s , you need to use a System method that can accept and perform formating.

in this case, please use System.out.printf("My name is %s",name);

thanks
