Hi there! You're getting close here but they do not want you using an if statement here. Take a look at the bummer message:

Bummer! While you could definitely solve this using an if statement, try returning the result of the expression.

Yes, that will pass the challenge. Although, I would point out that you do not need an extra variable. You can return the evaluation of the expression more directly.

return tiles.indexOf(tile)!=-1;
