JavaScript JavaScript Numbers Working with Numbers Numbers and Strings

Why this is wrong?

script.js
const width = '190px';
const totalImages = 10;

var totalWidth = +width * totalImages;

1 Answer

The unary operator (+) tries to convert the entire string to an integer. '190px' becomes NaN because JS can't convert the letters into an number. In this case, you have to use a different way to convert the width variable.
